AI SUMMIT 2023

On August 12, 2023, Nysha.ai organized a Youth AI Summit at Capital One Hall in Tysons, Virginia. With over 300 student attendees, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, this summit aimed to cultivate the next generation of AI technologists, innovators, and leaders, providing them with unique opportunities to engage with AI experts from various fields (healthcare, computer science, business/finance, government, and environmental science) and the chance to enter an AI Ideathon pitch competition.
Our keynote speakers at the summit included the Honorable Steven M. Wellner (Associate Judge Superior Court of the District of Columbia), Christos Makridis (White House), Dr. Jim Liew (Johns Hopkins University Business School), Melanie Meren (US Department of Education), and Prof. Dinesh Manocha (University of Maryland - CS). For the medical segment, Nysha.ai was also able to bring speakers such as Dr. Tushar Desai (Prof. Stanford University — Pulmonology), Dr. Steven Jonas (Asst. Prof. UCLA — Pediatrics), and Dr. Jonathon Widdicombe (UC Davis — Physiology & Membrane Biology) to talk about the latest advancements in cystic fibrosis research.
